If there’s one thing I am truly passionate about it‘s future beauty professionals. I love watching new students and recent graduates grow and become successful. I believe with all my heart with the right tools and guidance everyone has success in them.

 

I am also extremely passionate and believe wholeheartedly in high school vocational education. Without my vocational education and the teachers who were so dedicated to me and every one of their students—I would not be where I am today. Vocational education and the trades should be available to every high school student because it has the power to spark passion and change lives for the better.

 

Because of my background with vocational education, I have spent 20 years on my local vocational school cosmetology advisory board and for the past 25 years have been hiring and training new beauty professionals from our local vocational schools. 

 

My passion to help as many future professionals as I can led me to create the Facebook group, The business of hair. This group allows me to go beyond just helping new students in the salon by sharing my 35 years of knowledge with future cosmetologists, recent graduates or the struggling stylist.

I believe we get what we give in life, and I am forever grateful for all of the amazing people who have guided me in my success as a stylist and as a salon owner.

 

The business of hair Facebook group was created as a way for me to give back to the industry and show my gratitude for my vocational education which has given so much to me.
